Nsawam and the surrounding communities consist of the following towns and cities; Medie, Kwasikrom, Obom, Teacher Mante, Pakro, Odoadaka, Otoase, Dokrokyiwa, Ayigbentey, Fotobi, Pokrom Adoagyiri and Nsoubiri-Adeiso. Most of these communities engage in large-scale exportable farming products like pineapples and pawpaw. It is also noted for its bakery activities and other general trading ventures.
Again, there is continuous relocation of individuals from more congested parts of the capital city to less congested parts like the above-mentioned area.
